A Short Life Summary

I am not your typical, average, normal #Detroit female.  Born a Westsider, Raised on the East,  yeah I could fall into either one of the stereotypes, but I don't wear weave, never owned a PellePelle, or 7 jeans, had a pair of Rockports , or wore a 27 piece. I flipped my wig sometimes, but that's cause I was blind, Hashtagging chicks following they behind, too scared to be the Queen my momma named me and exalt the Spirit of the Divine. Didn't drive til 25, got hit three times, by cars, and dudes I thought loved me , but only left me with scares. Was streetwalker, felt the energy from the Streets, my Soul and Soles done touched more pavement in this city than y'all ever could think.  I felt the Earth moving without taking a drink. Clubbing wasn't my thing, even as a youngster, parties was fun , but I'd rather sit a home, write rhymes, and maybe watch #TheScene, or listen #WJLB.   some Weekends I hit the Mall, with my girls all cute, hoping to get some boys to call,  but being fat & tall, got me no digits at all. Lol. Saw the salon a lot , but it wasn't my spot, got my friends to do my hair , but even they talked about my locs. So at 19,  I chopped it all off  and felt free, no longer a Rock.  I think about my Life in The D and how figuratively, I never left "The Block", and  how that has shaped me into this spot.
